Ensemble
Set in the beautiful city of Wells, Ensemble is an all-day neighbourhood restaurant serving quality, locally sourced dishes and produce.
Using their experience from landmark London hotels and acclaimed local pubs, the founders wanted to integrate their food and service ethos with a playful, personable character across branding, packaging and interiors. We created a brand with social gathering at its heart with a new name, Ensemble, and a quirky cast of uniquely illustrated woodland creatures. The spatial design utilises adaptable layouts and joinery, allowing the offer to flex from daytime café and deli, to ambient evening restaurant. For the material palette we took inspiration from British forests, layering shades of green with existing warm oak floors, bespoke laser-cut brass panels and brand illustrations to create a harmonious, high-quality ambience.
